I can’t hear the timer cues.
Open Settings in Notch, enable Timer sounds, check your device volume and audio output, and choose Play sound check. Make sure you can hear both cues before starting. We recommend the built-in speaker; Bluetooth timing has not been verified.
Why did my session pause?
Notch runs sessions while the app is open. Switching apps, locking your phone, or an audio interruption pauses the timer. Return and choose Resume when ready. The current interval starts again with its full preparation delay; completed intervals remain recorded.
What do session results measure?
Results count completed timer intervals. They do not measure reaction time, shot timing, accuracy, successful physical repetitions, or proficiency. Notch does not record or detect shots.
Where are my presets and history stored?
They stay in the app’s local storage on your device. Notch has no account, cloud sync, or app-managed backup. Routines and history keep their own copies of settings, so deleting an original preset does not remove those saved copies.
What should I do if saving fails?
Keep the app installed, read the error message, check available device storage, and try again. Uninstalling can remove your records. Notch cannot recover records deleted from local app storage.
How do I delete a record or edit a note?
Open the relevant history entry, personal preset, or routine and use its delete action. Notes can be edited in session results or history. Built-in starter presets can be duplicated and customized, but cannot be deleted.
When can I download Notch?
Notch is preparing for its first App Store release. It will be free at launch and available in the United States. We’ll update the homepage with the App Store link when it’s live.
